I was thrilled to get this hotel given all the Embassy Suites extras and the location in June. Thanks for the Hotwire list that gave me confidence to take it and avoid the Priceline bidding for the unknown 4* hotels in that zone.

Sorry to ask, but i'd like to make sure we get it right...

Can you confirm which Embassy Suites you won. This appears to be a new amenity combination for this property and looks like a 'mix' of what has previously been reported for the Embassy Suites Downtown and the Embassy Suites Downtown Lakefront.

For a current search for your dates for 2adults/1child (i see a different hotel when searching for 2 adults) i get a 3* hotel in this zone with: Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Complimentary Breakfast, Kitchenette, Business.

It is the Embassy Suites Lakefront on Columbus & Illinois - the newer one of the two in downtown Chicago. The new Hotwire description that I noted was "Customer Favorite".
