Priceline Hotel: NYC multiple room bidding advice

I am in need of 2, possibly 3, rooms June 27 - 30 in NYC. I am flexible with the bidding zones. Is it better to go ahead and bid for multiple rooms at the same time, or is it better to bid one at a time? I would like at least 2 in the same hotel if possible but would be willing to split the 3rd to a different hotel.

I would prefer 4* but would take 3*. What would the basic bidding amounts be?

I would like to keep the room costs at $175 or less. Certainly I like getting a good deal but I understand that New York City can be tough.

have you thought about HOTWIRE? They have 3 rooms in the midtowns zones within your budget for your dates. And in this case can you be sure that your group gets the same hotel.
