SP Traveler Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 I unsuccessfully tried to bid up to $65 for a 4* (all areas of Austin), so I added 3*, lowered my bid to $50 & was rejected. The next day I increased my bid to $55 for a 3* & it was accepted. Some people can find a lot of things wrong with hotels that perfectly suit my need to go there to sleep & bathe, so I'm sure it will do just fine, as the "online rate" for a standard room there is $116. Also, when I called the hotel to make a specific request, the lady I spoke with was very courteous, which you do not always get when booking a room on Priceline (at least in my experience).
