shaggy01 Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 First post on here. Lots of great information.I am looking at bidding on this hotel. If I read the pinned topic at the top of this board on identified hotels, The Marriott Waikiki is the only 4 star in the Oahu Waikiki Beach zone. Can anyone confirm this information? I also searched the site, and it has been awhile since anone has won a bid at the Marriott. Am i missing a post someone on this? Thanks for the help.
thereuare Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!Few comments...As per the top of the Priceline Hotel List, this may be the only 4* hotel reported in this zone, but you could be the first to add a new hotel to the list. (and as per the hotel list, the Outrigger may now be a 4* in this zone)As well, there are Resort properties in this zone, and when you select a star level it is the minimum you are willing to accept... so you could receive an upgrade to a Resort property on your 4 star bid.Bottom line: you can't bid on a specific hotel. Are you willing to accept any hotel in this zone at the minimum star rating your select? shaggy01 Posted May 22, 2007 Author Report Posted May 22, 2007 Thanks for the reply THEREUARE.I would be happy with the Hyatt -- Resort Property, Marriott Waikiki, or the Outrigger Reef --currently being remodeled. Last time I checked, when we travel in January of 2008, the Reef is suppossed to be completely remodeled. I have to check with the better half to see if she would be okay with the unknown factor, just in case it accepted another 4 star property in that zone. No other 4 starts have been REPORTED correct? SO the odds are slim...

TTnC4me Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 Please, please do report back on any Marriott success, as that would be ideal for us.TIA
