CruiseCrAzieS Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 I am looking for Jan 25th, 2008 stay in a down town Miami hotel. I would prefer the Radisson, Hilton Double tree or Hyatt Regency. I have stayed here pre-cruise before and loved it. I have checked priceline and they don't have ANY 3* hotels in down town Miami for that date and on Hotwire there is only a 4* listed for down town Miami at $194 a night and NOTHING for a 3* in down town. :) I called these 3 hotels individually and they were anywhere from $290 - $300 a night but that is WAY more than I would like to spend. I have stayed in Miami in Jan before (pre-cruise) and got the Radisson for $65 on price line BUT this time it is not as easy. Any advice on what to do to get a decent price ($80 - $120)?? :)
thereuare Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 It is still very early... why not book a cancellable back-up (to give you peace of mind and just in case there is some BIG convnetion taking place during this timeframe).Since it's just one nite pre-cruise, as a back-up how about the Sofitel Airport for $157/nite?This way you have a highly rated hotel as a back-up and you can then continue to see if rates come down or HOTWIRE gets any inventory as your date get closer.Does that work for you? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
CruiseCrAzieS Posted May 22, 2007 Author Report Posted May 22, 2007 I did reserve a back up hotel but I am hearing of people getting awesome deals for next April already on hotwire and priceline which is farther away then my travel date. Oh well, I am going to just keep checking priceline and hotwire and hope to get a good deal sometime soon. :) I guess I really don't have any choice. :)
