wylic Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 First time poster. Looking for more information on September 6-10. Would like to stay at 4-5*, but it seems priceline listing around $302 is pretty high. What is an appropriate bid amount for this current pricing? I also wouldn't mind the 4 Star at Casurina, though off strip.

wylic Posted May 21, 2007 Author Report Posted May 21, 2007 Looking at $150 for the venetian/night and $75 maybe at the westin. Am willing to split the trip up.
thereuare Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 There is no good way to split a Thursday-Monday stay in Vegas unless you are willing to change hotels more than once (ie- two changes / three hotels)If you're looking for a 4* on the strip for $75 for dates which include the weekend i think you're going to have trouble finding something in your budget. I do see the Westin for $114/nite, there is no booking fee (so equal to about a $108 priceline bid) and it's cancellable up until a few days before your stay, but that's the closest i see to your budget for a 4* for your dates. wylic Posted May 21, 2007 Author Report Posted May 21, 2007 What other 4 stars available? Westin was only first choice for priceline, but am willing to pay more if I can get something actually on the strip.
thereuare Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 Are you only willing to change hotels once during your stay? How about something like the Monte Carlo for $145/nite? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
wylic Posted May 21, 2007 Author Report Posted May 21, 2007 Would that be considered a good back-up plan? What are the chances that the rates may drop again?
thereuare Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 The Monte Carlo is cancellable so you can always cancel and book something else (or re-book this at a lower rate) if prices drop. This was the least expensive that i could find at a 'good' hotel on the strip. wylic Posted May 24, 2007 Author Report Posted May 24, 2007 Have you heard anything good about the South Point? I can get it for about $70/night, but it is way way south of strip. I may book this for now since it is cancellable.
blindman Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Look at Tripadvisor, seems to get good reviews.Depends what you want out of Vegas really
