lindy Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Hi, I usually use priceline, but I have been unsuccessful in my bidding this time. I am now trying hotwire for a NMA or Mag Mile hotel for 6/15/07 - 6/17/07. I am looking for two rooms for 6-8 people total. Interestingly, when I put in 8 people, I get a 4* Mag Mile with fitness, business, restaurant, spa, pool, and internet for $189. The pool icon tells me this should be the W Lakeshore. However, when I put in 6 people (just out of curiosity, to see what would come up) I get a 4* Mag Mile with fitness, business, restaurant, spa, and internet (same as above, but no pool), also for $189. This sounds more like the Hyatt (no pool), except that it doesn't say "customer favorite". Finally, when I put in 2 or 4 people (again, out of curiosity), I get a 4* Mag Mile with fitness, business, restaurant, spa, and internet that is a "customer favorite" for $182. This most certainly is the Hyatt. On a side note, when I look at the betterbidding.com list of hotwire Mag Mile hotels, it lists the amenities for both the Hyatt and W Lakeshore and says after each "(same as W Lakeshore / Hyatt)", but they're not the same, the W has a pool listed and the Hyatt does not. Am I mistaken?I appreciate any help!PS. If it's helpful, I would like the W, would NOT like the Hyatt. Ideally, I would like the James, but just can't seem to get that laundry icon to come up. :)
AaronJB Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 The Hyatt, despite being downtown's largest hotel, doesn't have a pool, so anything with a pool wouldn't be the Hyatt. The listings that you mentioned that sound like the Hyatt do likely seem like the Hyatt. The listing with a pool would be a likely match for the W.Different combinations of rooms/people will often bring up different results on Hotwire. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link if you do decide to make a purchase, as it supports the site.
thereuare Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! At one time the W Lakeshore didn't show the pool icon, making it the same as the Hyatt... we have updated the Hotwire Hotel List accordingly. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
