trsh86 Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Trying to get 3 rooms in Paris - Any help appreciated.Any idea what hotel this is?4-star hotel in Eiffel Tower - Mus
trsh86 Posted May 18, 2007 Author Report Posted May 18, 2007 I worked the Paris area with both HW & PL. What I netted was a $210 night for late May with PL.The bid was simple because they were pushing the hotel. I bid $149 then it came back and said for $215 you can get a room. I fussed with it for a few days and finally caved-in after seeing the 4* HW thru this website (thanks) was the Hilton Paris or did I meant the Paris Hilton. I looked at the Hilton reviews on Trip Advisor then figured if this was 4 Plus it was a good deal especially after hearing the Paris Hilton location was terrible. We'll see how my night in Paris works out. Stay tuned.Le Parc Sofitel Demeure Champs Elysees - Opera Quarter West55-57 Avenue Raymond Poincare Paris, France 33 1 44 05 66 66
blindman Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding.Just to confirmYou won the 4* Hilton in the Paris (Eiffel Tower - Grenelle - Montparnasse) area for $210 ?What is your date of stay?
thereuare Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Yes, can you please confirm your itinerary, hotels won, and dates (and for the Hilton Paris did you use priceline or HOTWIRE?)I think we're confused as you seem to have determined the hotel was the Hilton Paris but then you mention the Sofitel (in an entirely different zone)Thanks. trsh86 Posted May 18, 2007 Author Report Posted May 18, 2007 Apologize for the confusion.... my excuse is that it was 12:15 AM.The room I got was with PL at the Le Parc Sofitel Demeure for $210 a night. This came up on PL as a "4* plus" in the Champs Elysees - Opera Quarter West area. The location is very good and the reviews do say it's upscale according to TripAdvisor. It was very easy to get since I bid $149 and immediatley it came back with a "one-time offer" with the above price. I passed on HW for $153, which was the Hilton Paris near the Eiffel Tower. (Actually, I read the wrong review when making this decision. I didn't notice there are several Hiltons and grabbed the review that didn't say airport.)Does this clarify?
thereuare Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 Thanks for the follow-up... it's all making sense right now.Can you just add the date(s) of your stay to this thread and we'll then add them to the topic title.THANKS!! Enjoy Paris. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
