AussieBruce Posted May 18, 2007 Report Share Posted May 18, 2007 It was my first ever bid on Priceline, and to be honest, I didnt really know what I was doing.I thought I was way underbidding to make sure I got a fail so I could just learn from the process.Instead, success. At least I had put in all the information correctly. Makes me wish I'd bid lower now.Total price with taxes was US$172(about $190 Canadian) with Hertz for their smallest car(all I needed).Same car direct from Hertz(even with CAA discount) was CAN$420.To do a trick of renting from the airport on your first and last day, and driving to another car rental in town for a car for the rest of the trip, would still have been CAN$270. So, I totally scored with the price I got, but still wonder how I fluked it. Link to comment
