Tesalve Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 First bid of $70 was rejected. Re-bid of $75 was accepted using the re-bid method ofadding a region that did not have a 4-star rating. This is the first time that I tried that and I was a little nervous. I really wanted to stay on Capitol Hill NOT Arlington, but it worked perfectly. I already had areservation for the exact same nights at the Hyatt Regency Capital Hill booked through TravelZoo that I thought was fantastic at $109/night. I actually don't remember why I decided to check out PriceLine through Google since I had used PriceLine before and didn't consider myself a novice. This site came up with the topic of Bidding Tips. So I tried it and I'm really happy that I did. I saved $34/night over the original deal that I had.
