thereuare Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 I don't know much about the area but i'm sure others here can advise you better as many seem to be quite familiar with it.The good news is that there are plenty of re-bids available at the 4* level (double check to make sure zones still qualify)... but the bad news is that the zone is quite large (a few months ago Priceline combined a few small zones in this area into one BIG one).If you need info on re-bidding you can read this: PRICELINE TIPS - Bidding Again Before 72 Hours. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.Rates vary widely for 4* in this area, so i'd proceed as follows:Select 4* and Union Squrea/Embarcadero...Bid $47, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $70If upon further inspection you find the zone too big, Hotwire may offer a viable alternative since they have this area sub-divided into into smaller zones and you may have a better chance and pinpointing a location or even a specific property.... although their selections seem to fetch a premium to Priceline. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
