like2cruise Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 :) I love bidding on Priceline. I am not too daredevilish as I think the basic rates are so awesome that I don't hold out to see how low I can go. I had gotten the Hyatt at $63.00 per night for 2 nights yesterday for our post cruise. We needed a night pre-cruise. Originally we were going to just stay at the airport, but after a little research we decided we liked all the stuff to see and do in Vancouver.First bid was $55.00. Rejected. Priceline counteroffered me with a free bid if I added $15.00. That is the first time I have had that happen. I decided to just add Delta for my free bid and add $7.00 (half of the counter offer). My offer of $62.00 was accepted plus $12.99 for fees and taxes. Hubby and I high fived and were ready to plan another vacation so we can bid more on priceline :) We leave in 12 days and are staying at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale that we got on Priceline as well. You can't help but think about all those years we spent $200.00 for a hotel and just think WOW, what took us so long to learn about Priceline! I tell everyone about this website!!! THANKS!!
thereuare Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 Thanks for the support in helping to spread the word!!Glad to hear you have yet another happy win! I was in Vancouver a few years back pre-cruise and due to flight delays we hardly got to see any of the city but remember it being beautiful... we talk about going back but it just hasn't happened yet.Enjoy your upcoming cruise and Ft. Lauderdale stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Randi66 Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 I've stayed at that Hyatt( winning bid 40) in June of 2002. Great hotel, newly renovated. Happy Travelling, Randi
