If you can walk 100 yards across the road, you can park free on the side street alongside the Embassy Suites. Just mind the posted signs: you can't park in the stretch nearest the intersection, and there may be a street-cleaning night as well.

You can also park in the parking lot adjacent to the Embassy Suites itself: there is no sign limiting parking to hotel guests. In fact, there's a sign "Public Shore". I parked in that lot and had no problem.
