Hotwire Hotel: 5* Center Strip Las Vegas - help needed to identify

I love this site and have used it a couple of times as well as posting my own results from times before I was aware of the site. I have searched this forum but couldn't really find an answer or a good guess for Hotwire's 5* on the center strip of Las Vegas.

I'm looking for help to identify Hotwire's Las Vegas hotel's for 3 nights 7/25/07-7/28/07. I'd really like to stay at a 5* or a 4 1/2*, but no less than a 4*. And it MUST be on the Center Strip. When searching Hotwire I found the following:

~ 5* hotel in Central Strip - Customer Favorite and Best Value $159 per night. Retail shows $252.33, 37% savings. "This luxury establishment offers superb guest service and the highest standards of style and comfort." Amenities include: Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services.

~ 4* hotel in Central Strip for $139 per night. Retail $155.67, 11% savings. "This upscale establishment offers thoughtful features, quality rooms and a high level of service." Amenities include: Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services.

Some of what I have read mentioned that the 5* may be The Venetian or even Wynn, but I didn't see anybody confirm either one of those.

Any help you could offer would be much appreciated...thanks!!!

The 5* looks like an exact match for the Venetian from the hotel list :)

The 4* is a match for the Aladdin (now Planet Hollywood) as well as Paris and Caesars... but the Aladdin is the most frequently to be won (by a wide margin). If you're interested in the Aladdin it can be booked HERE for $107/nite for your dates (which makes the decision between this and the 5* on HOTWIRE a little tougher to make as the difference is not $50/nite instead of $20/nite)

So the 5* is The Venetian? I had seen it on the Hotel List, but didn't see anywhere where a user confirmed that that is what they received from Hotwire. I'm sure its just me, and I didn't search around enough. But if you could show me where a user confirmed that they received The Venetian for their 5* through Hotwire, that'd be great.

As for the Aladdin (now Planet Hollywood), I stayed there several times in the past when it was the Aladdin and it just didn't do it for me, so I thought I'd go for a 5* and splurge a little bit. But at the same time, if I had a chance of getting Caesar's or Paris through Hotwire for $139 I may just do that. I just don't want to get the Aladdin.

I'll be sure to utilize your links when I do book this, I was just hoping that someone could show me what a result was for the 5* Center Strip. The Venetian certainly would be suitable, as would Wynn. Have you seen any other hotels come up for the 5*?

The Venetian is the only 5* hotel reported to the board... there could always be new hotels added at anytime or a 5* hotel not yet reported. It's been guessed if there are other 5* hotels they would be: Wynn, Bellagio, and possibly Mandalay Bay.
