Oboy Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 I was hoping to Priceline myself a deal for the Barrie area. Hotels on Quikbook went for $97 and $121. EasyClickTravel had them for $101-105. HOTWIRE had one 3* for $96 and a 2* for $89. So, I bid up to $53 in the 3* and $55 in the 2* on Priceline and was rejected. However, I ended up finding the Carriage Ridge Resort and booked directly through their website using my AAA discount for $72. It ranks #2 in the tripadvisor ratings AND I get a suite. It just didn't make sense to keep nickel and diming this thing at such low rates when I could get a suite in a well-reviewed hotel for $20 more per night. I'll save the difficult bidding work for my NYC trips. :) Hope this info helps someone.
