Hotwire Hotel: 2.5* Ft Lauderdale (Weston-Plantation-Davie) Best Western Sawgrass

I was checking Hotwire for Fort Lauderdale rates for Feb 23 - March 9/08. I saw a rate for 2.5 star for Weston-Plantation-Davie for $39. I was concerned about booking for 15 days without knowing the hotel. I waited until the next day, and the price went to $44. I then booked for one night for $44 and was told in was the Best Western. I checked the hotel site and the rate was $139. Seeing this as a deal, I then booked the rest of the time for $44 a night.

I just received a $25 per night ($375 total for 15 nights), credit from Hotwire as they dropped the rating from 2.5 stars to 2. This brings this in line with other site's ratings of this hotel.

This brings my rate down to $19 night (previous was $44). After reading the Hotwire policy, "if we downgrade a property's star rating, we will rebook customers with upcoming reservations", I thought that this meant that Hotwire would rebook me with another 2.5 star hotel at no charge. No, you either get hot dollars, or you can cancel your reservation and get a refund.
