mlg Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 I have been looking into driving up to Toronto for a game at the Skydome in July. I am hoping to walk to the game from my hotel. Any advice on which downtown Toronto area to go with on Hotwire? I have used Hotwire before for car rental only, never used Priceline. Would Priceline be a better route? I will be sure to use the links here when I make may decision. Thanks!
thereuare Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!See the I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire link for an explanation for the similaritie and differences between the two services. Also note that if location is important, the Priceline zone is much larger, where as HOTWIRE divides the zone into two separate zones, making the possible location smaller.HOTWIRE also gives you the option of trying to ID the porperty beforehand, giving you an idea just how far you may be from the stadium. tata3401 Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 All downtownhotels are close distance to Skydowm. It may be 10 min walk frm King Eddy or Shareton etc. But that area is so nice that in summer time that you mind walking even 20 mintues. Lots of open patios and nice bar on Front Street. And vey livly area
thereuare Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 So then what criteria are you interested in to determine whether to use priceline or HOTWIRE? If hotwire, what criteria woud you use to determine whether the East or West zone?Based upon your comments above seems as if you'd be happy anywhere within the entire priceline zone, as well as anywhere within HOTWIRE's east or west zone.If that's the case, then it comes down to whether price is more important or if targeting (or avoiding) a particular hotel is more important.Let us know and we'll advise accordingly. mlg Posted May 21, 2007 Author Report Posted May 21, 2007 Plans are on hold right now due to family illness. If I should return to pursue this, I am looking at cheapest price as #1, with proximity to Skydome a close second. Thanks!
