mikev80
Hello. Awesome site! I'm trying to bid for a Resort anywhere in Oahu. I have started my bid at 150 and have worked up to 175...I've never felt so rejected :) . Is it too early for me to start placing bids? Or is the high price due to the season? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! This is just a one nite stay? If so, i suspect you're not too far off... do you have a maximum bid in mind? mikev80
Yes, just one night. I have some Reward Points from Citibank, so I was able to pay for 3 nights through that. I'm staying at the Aqua Waikiki Wave and wanted to upgrade to a resort for my last night in Hawaii. My max is $175. The lowest Hotwire is $229, but it looks like others are getting $125 - $150 when they are reserving 1 week to 1 month in advance through Priceline. But then again, their reservations are for April and May.Oh yeah, Priceline countered by asking me to bid $25 more Link to comment
thereuare
If you've bid your maximum then there's not much else you can do except continue to wait it out... although summer in Hawaii is usually more expensive than April/May. mikev80
I kept trying and got a successful bid for the Sheraton Waikiki for $180. Hopefully, it's not the annex rooms, does anyone know? Link to comment
