Okay So after a couple weeks of bidding hoping to get a 4* for less than (yes I was dreaming) 110.00. However I bidded my way from $85 all the way to current price of $160 for the Radissan which from the site I'm really happy with considering it's more than I wanted to spend...but overall I'm just glad I have a nice place to stay! It's a 3*, but it looks really nice and now I'm just waiting for priceline to send my info to the hotel so I can request a high floor for an awesome view, bed and a smoking room. So hopefully they'll be accomodating though I've heard that they aren't so great with those who bid on priceline....

I couldn't even get a 3* for less than 160. I even tried a 120.00 bid on a 2 and 1/2 star, that was a no go. But c'mon a pool on the top floor with a skylight!! How great is that, unfortunatly though I'm sure it won't be open for my stay. :)

Anyone have any tricks for getting a suite upgrade for free? Or is that a no go most likely given its a busy weekend.

Just thought I'd let those know who were looking for the same dates...

The Radisson is in a great location less than half a block from Michigan Ave and it is a nicer hotel that is rarely seen as a win. However, from what I've read about the hotel and Priceline guests, I wouldn't get your hopes up for an upgrade. I haven't read anything bad, but it simply seems that they give Priceline guests - understandably, as that is what the service guarantees - a basic room, and they do charge (again, understandably, as PL only guarantees 1 bed) an upgrade fee for a room w/2 beds to PL customers. So, while nothing "bad", they don't seem to hand out upgrades too easily.

I'm pretty happy with the bid. Priceline guarantees one bed, then that's perfect I just wanted to make sure I didn't get two doubles. I called to try and get a smoking and nice view but they said they hadn't recieved any reservation information yet. Does priceline ususally take a couple days if you book on the weekend?

Yes the change is correct on the title, thanks, I wasn't sure how to alter it when I realized I left out the cost of the hotel.

Also thankyou for the information you've given out about the local area of Chicago, definatly valuable information as far as locations and such. Thanks Again!

No prob. Again, couldn't be a better location. Also, a block South of your hotel on St. Clair, there's a nice Corner Bakery (cornerbakery.com for menu) if you're looking for quick, quality breakfast/lunch/dinner (eat in or take out.) Priceline usually seems pretty "instant" to me, but I suppose if it's on a weekend and the trip is not that particular weekend, it may take another day or maybe two to get the reservation.
