tigger12jb Posted March 2, 2004 Author Report Posted March 2, 2004 I've read reports that Staybridge suites now owns this hotel (same address ) do you know if this is true and if so do the icons on the hotwire list still match? Has anyone stayed here lately
carnold99 Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 I stayed there in May 2002 - I think I'm the one that added it to this board. We had a ground floor room. We did have an ant problem but that was our own fault since we did leave food out on the first day. The location can't be beat on I-drive, right across from the Mercado. When we arrived, they gave us an 'upgrade' to a two bedroom suite. The suites all have full kitchens, which was nice. There is a grocery store within walking distance (well, for us young folks). We had a rental car (also off Hotwire) and parking was free.I don't know anything about it being sold. I think we paid $41 or $43 / night for it. We had to pay a $2 charge for something like phone mail or some goofy charge like that. We didn't argue as it just didn't seem worth it. Our expereince here was overall great. When we got the bid, it was back when the Sea World bidding Zone was separate from the Universal zone.If you want more info, let me know!C -
