Priceline Hotel: 4* USE help 5/18-5/20

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or I just picked a bad weekend to go to SF. I've been bidding on a 4* hotel in Union Square East for May 18-20. Started at $80, worked up to $150 and still no taker. I've been rebidding by adding SSF, Civic Ctr, etc. Still no luck.

Any suggestions? :)

Looks like a very expensive time in the city.

Although it's only a two nite stay, would you consider SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID? Could you add another nearby zone such as USW? (or stay elsewhere in the city and commute to the area(s) you need to be)

I am visiting May 16-19 and found things are getting tighter by the day during that period, it was my intention to Priceline my hotel but I've ended up booking conventionally at a small hotel in The Haight. Two things that are taking up rooms or making them very expensive during that time period - The May 20th Bay to Breakers run, with 65,000+ runners and 100,000+ spectators and the American Thoracic Society annual meeting with 18,000 attendees May 18-23.

So, I would come up with a Plan B...
