broad Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 I am looking at Hotwire which has a 188$ a night room at a 2* hotel in Midtown South. It's Boutique which has a kitchenette and Internet access. I need a room with two seperate beds so I entered 3 people and this was the result....anyone have any idea what it is?Also, any other suggestions for scoring a hotel 5/17-5/20 with 2 beds in Manhattan for less than 200 would be gladly appreciated! I would do priceline, but there's no way to get 2 separate beds for sure!THANKS!~J
thereuare Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!Unfortunately this property has not yet been identified. However, i would be very careful of a 2* opaque property in NYC... especially one labeled as 'Boutique'. My idea of boutique is 'hip and trendy' which in my book is mutually exclusive of a 2* hotel. My fear is that this could be a WooGo apartment, which i would try to avoid. Is this for a leisure trip into NYC? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
broad Posted April 16, 2007 Author Report Posted April 16, 2007 That was my fear too!It is for a leisure trip--I live here but it's for visitors. Thanks for the help!
thereuare Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 What is their maximum bid/budget for this stay? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
broad Posted April 17, 2007 Author Report Posted April 17, 2007 with tax around 225$ preferably. anywhere in manhattan, the further south the better.
thereuare Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Before taxes and fees?Although i don't see anything that i would consider 'good' in that price range (for triple occupancy) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
broad Posted April 17, 2007 Author Report Posted April 17, 2007 around that would be preferable, yes.it's ACTUALLY double occupancy, but just 2 beds.
broad Posted September 18, 2007 Author Report Posted September 18, 2007 I didn't end up using Hotwire for this since it was too expensive. I went with The Pod Hotel instead.
