My budget is < $175. Date: 4/19-4/22Star: 2.5*+ ( Last choice will consider 2* too :) )Zone: Preferably close to times square. or any zone most convenient for first time tourist.Max: $175.Any advice strategy and pointer appreciated.I bid in PL for MTW/MTE for 150 and it was rejected.Best RegardsSimha
thereuare Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! Not sure of your age group, but how would making a back-up reservation at The Pod Hotel for $169/nite? Rooms are notoriously small but the hotel was recently renovated (by the new owner) and the reviews have been good. simha Posted April 11, 2007 Author Report Posted April 11, 2007 Thanks. We are in early 30s.I logged to priceline using savingbarns.com and use re-bid zone instruction in your website.Well no luck . I was unable to find any 2.5* hotel in midtown for max $200. All bids were rejected. Finally as last option I tried 2* for max of $200. Bid was accepted. Got Clarion Hotel Park Avenue. Not the best hotel i wanted for my first trip to NY. In any case ...did not want to wait till last minute.
