I would like to take my husband on a surprise trip to Disneyworld next week. Last time we used priceline to go, we stayed at one of the resorts in downtown disney and it was great. Can I expect to still be able to get a good price on priceline even though it is last minute?

THanks!!!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Your hotel can only be as good/bad as the minimum star level you choose.

Since hotels give Priceline/Hotwire distressed inventory, as long as it's not an above average time occupancy-wise you should have no problems.

If you'd like bidding a bidding strategy please post the date(s) of your stay.

Well we just had somebody fail for 3/10-3/16 with the strategy below, but since you are trying a subset of these dates i would try the same approach. Doing so accomplishes 2 things: 1) if you're not successful it implies that inventory is tight for the whole timeframe and you may be better off trying for April and, 2) if you're successful will give the other user insight as to which days may be preventing his/her success.

When bidding resort in WDW area, you have 8 re-bid zones availalbe giving yourself a total of 9 bids. I would proceed as follows:

Select Resort in the WDW area:

Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $100.

If you don't want to bid up to $100 you can just stop at whatever level you'd like.

If you're not successful with the above, you can either wait 72 hours and try again or follow the same strategy for the April dates.

If you're not familiar with re-bidding you can read about it here: PRICELINE TIPS: Biding Again Before 72 Hours. Feel free to confirm you re-bid zones with us if this is a new strategy for you.

Let us know how it goes and ask any questions that you may have.
