I just got a 4* Toronto jun14/16 at Sheraton Centre Toronto for U$100. Now I'm trying a 4* New York jun 22/26 for U$140 and have been rejected. First I tried Midtown West U$120, then added Midtown East U$ 130 and finally U$ 140 adding Midtown South. Do you know an average bid for a 3* or 4* , so the priceline would accept? I really want to stay at Midtown.

Thanks

As I can see nobody is winnig anything these days... Do you think its going to be better to try later? And what about 3 star hotel for $159 by hotwire? Do toy think it's worth? It has fitness center, restaurant and high-speed internet access...I'm wondering wich hotel is...

See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.

Is there a reason you're not bidding the UM/CPS zone? (which is more "midtown" than MTS)

What zone is the 3* HOTWIRE hotel located in?

What is your maximum bid for a 4* property?

Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?

I'm sorry...I'm kind of new for this bidding stuff.... There are no reasons I'm not bidding the UM/CPS, just my lack of knowledge! Now I know what you mean when you asked if I have read the PRICELINE links you previously requested me to use before begining my bidding...

The 3* Hotwire hotel is at Midtown East, for U$159.

Actually I was thinking about spending U$150 (even if it has to be a 3*), once I friend of mine got Roosevelt at February for U$125! But it seems impossible for this date.

If I split, how do you suggest I separate my dates? 22(fri), 23(sat), 24(sun) and 25(mon), 26(tue) OR 22(fri), 23(sat) and 24(sun), 25(mon), 26(tue)?

Thanks for your patience!

If you do a HOTWIRE search for 6/22-6/25 there is a Suite hotel in the MTE zone for $149/nite. No guarantees, but if you compare the amenities associated with this property with those in the Hotwire Hotel List this is a match for the Beekman Tower. The hotel is a little east for some but the hotel gets very good reviews.

From there you can make other plans for the last nite of your stay (HOTWIRE has antoher offer in the MTE zone for $159) or after your purchase above, assuming we're correct that it's the Beekman Tower, you can avoid changing hotels by using this link to the Beekman Tower for $180/nite (there's no booking fee, so really only about $15/nite more than the HOTWIRE offer).

If you move forward with any of the above please use the links in this thread for your purchases (if you book both legs via HOTWIRE, please use the links here for each purchase... so click the link to make your first purchase, then return here and click the link again to begin your second purchase)

Your thoughts on the above?

I have no idea how long the HOTWIRE offer will be available... it could disappear by tomorrow morning OR it could there for days/weeks/monts to come.

The Beekman Tower reservation is cancellable up until a few days before your stay, so if the above seems like a likely scenario you may want to book the last nite to lock in that nite at that price (EasyClickTravel only gets a limited number or rooms at that rate, then it goes from 'available' to 'on request' and this property almost never gives additional inventory)... if your plans change then you can always cancel it. Naturally, this only applies to this reservation and not any HOTWIRE purchase you may make.

There is a Hotwire 3* for U$ 159 for 06/22-26. It has Fitness Center, Restaurant(s) and High-speed Internet Access. Do you think it's a better hotel than The Beekman Tower?

Posted

No, that is not the Beeekman Tower (which doesn't show for your complete stay). To get the SUITE hotel to appear you need to search HOTWIRE for only the first three nites of your stay.

Best guess for the above HOTWIRE hotel is the Radisson, but those amenities are very common for a NYC hotel so i'm not certain.

Please rememember to use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.

Needing your help again...

Almost giving up priceline bidding and needing help to define wich Hotwire Hotel is the 3* Midtown Central with Fitness, Restaurant, Business and High spee internet for U$219.00. (jun 22-26)

Woud you please help me?

Posted

Very common amenities for a 'city' hotel, but this is a match for both the Park Central and the Novotel, so either of those would be our best guess.

However, i do think that the Beekman Tower mix offered above (if still available) is a better deal than any opaque 3* purchase. As the Beekman is a 3 star property, and the reviews are so good, i don't think you'll likely find a better 3 star hotel thru an opaque purchase... not to mention it's $50/nite cheaper).

Selected UM/CPS and bid U$145 (rejected)

added re-bid zone U$147 (rejected)

I just want to thank you very very very much! I was almost giving up...

Leticia
