antlori Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Want a 4* hotel in Times Square for 2 nights, Mar.9 & 10. Checked Hotwire a couple of days ago and found 4* Restaurant, Fitness & Business Center for $154. I just checked again tonight and the 4* Rest, Fitness, Business is now $214! I'm getting a little worried--have always been able to get the Milennium Times Square for around $100 on Priceline (tried tonight but no takers, will try again on the weekend when I can bid again). Should I be worried? There's a 3* Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness Center for $126 on Hotwire. I'm considering maybe taking that. Any idea which hotel that might be? Any advice for strategy in this situation?
thereuare Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 There are truly magnificent Boutique hotels throughout the country, but my general impression is that 'Boutique' usually means independant property with small rooms and unknown service levels. As a result, i wouldn't purchase an opaque boutique property unless i had a very good idea of what it was beforehand, had read good reviews about it, and was getting a good price. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
