Valbie
Hi all, what a great spot this is to get great deals!!I used Hotwire previously to book a 2 night stay at the Holiday Inn Universal in March -- it wasn't the hotel I thought it was, but realized the risk with Hotwire, and was happy enough with the good deal of $64/night for a 3.5*, (see my post of 1/20) -- especially after I checked Travelocity to get more info on the hotel and found a super deal there for $55 and got the "Double the Difference" back from Hotwire. :) (FYI: Tonight the Holiday Inn is $60.01 on Travelocity, and on Expedia increased today +20 to $80.) I was able to extend my vacation so thought I'd give Priceline a whirl and try for a nicer property for our first three nights.Read with interest the posts on rebidding by adding areas, so a big thank you! I began with Univ-SW at $60 and increased by $5 by adding the other areas without resort hotels (downtown, Kissimmee, West Disney, etc.) until getting the Renaissance at $80/nt. Getting the nicer place for about the same deal is worth having to make a move. And besides, it's great fun to try out these strategies. Thanks a bunch! Link to comment
