kimpy Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Hi There.Need advice on how much to bid for 2 double room in singapore (4* or 5*) for 7 nights from October 26th to 2nd November 2007.Any ballpark suggestions? Thanks in advance
thereuare Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 2 double room Does this mean a room which can accomodate two people or a room with two beds? Are you willng to pay more for a 5* vs. a 4* property or do you want the lest expensive 4* or better property? Do you have a maximum bid in mind? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
kimpy Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 I am looking for 2 double rooms (with 1 king/queen double bed in each room) to accomodate a total of 4 persons.I prefer 5* and i AM WILLING TO PAY MORE FOR A 5* - however, if none available at a good price (say 73US$ to 85US$ per room per night) my plan B backup solution would be to take a 4* but only at a lower price (60-70US$ ???).I prefer East Coast or Marina Bay area but really can stay in ANY area in Singapore, but not a priority (price is of higher importance to me).Thanks.
thereuare Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 OK, just to clarify...You're looking for 2 rooms (with two people in each room)?Do you want to bid for a 5* up to $85 and then if rejected try for a 4* up to $70? Did you want to include Orchard Road in your 5* bidding? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
kimpy Posted April 7, 2007 Author Report Posted April 7, 2007 Exactly right, up to 85US$ for a five star preferably in Marina bay - city hall and then if rejected include orchad road area and in fact if still rejected then include ANY area (not just the free re-bid ones) - I can stay anywhere. If still rejected then try it all over again from the start with a 4* up to 70US$.My main question really is: is 85US$ the right price to bet or to low? If have no experience or knowledge! And how about 75$ for a 4*? To high?thanks. :)
thereuare Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 Rates at the 5 star properties in the City Hall zone are a bit higher than when we typically see $85 bids accepted, but with time on your side you can certainly give it a try. When bidding 5* you have four re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* City Hall...Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $76, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 5* Orchard Road...Bid $70, if rejected add City Hall...Bid $73, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $76, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85.If the above is rejected we'll then suggest a strategy for a 4* property.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
