mikepolans Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Have an event in the Chelsea area on 5/23 & 5/24, and I'm looking for hotels in NYC for those 2 nights. Trying to get a total of 6 double rooms, although if they wind up being split up I'll live. MTW & MTS look like the closest areas to bid.Ideally, I'd like to keep it under $200 per room with tax included. I think a $165 bid would put it at about $200.Any suggestions for the bidding process I should take? I'm familiar with re-bidding, etc, just not familiar with the hotels & re-bidding zones for NYC.Also - any suggestions on how I should go about trying to get multiple rooms at the same hotel? Should I try to get 2, then bid the same for the other 4? Or should I go 4, then 2?
thereuare Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding! Not sure of the make up of your group, but just a reminder that you could (very possibly) get rooms with only one bed in the room. When bidding 4* in NYC you have two re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Seelct 4* MTW...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Seelct 4* MTW and re-bid zone2...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $145, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Seelct 4* MTS...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Seelct 4* MTS and re-bid zone2...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $145, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Seelct 4* MTW and MTS...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $155, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Seelct 4* MTW and MTS and re-bid zone2...Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $165.Any questions feel free to ask. mikepolans Posted April 25, 2007 Author Report Posted April 25, 2007 No such luck. Even tried again and bid up to $225, and got nothing.
