Priceline Hotel: 3* or 4* in NYC (6/10 - 6/16)

Hi,

I have been planning a return visit to NYC for a couple years now, and finally a couple weeks ago I was able to grab some $100 round trip tickets from CLT to LGA so now I need to find a hotel.

There will be four people in total going, we will be leaving Charlotte on Sunday afternoon (6/10) and returning Saturday afternoon (6/16). All four in the group are adult aged, we do not mind sharing a room if that is possible. I have been bidding up to $150 a room on Priceline for both 3* & 4* hotels with no wins yet. I believe I may need a better strategy.

Also I do not have a backup booked yet, I have looked at the Beekman Towers 1 BR Studio, but have not booked it yet as I want to make sure I use the right link so the site gets the credit for it.

BTW, will a cab allow four people to travel in it? or will we have to take the Subway or a private car from the airport to the hotel?

Priceline only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel. See the related occupancy link in our PRICELINE FAQ.

HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy but when doing so there is nothing in your price range.

If you book the Beekman Tower you'll definately need a 1BR suite (vs. a Studio Suite)... but even the 1BR is technically listed as '3 persons max' (and the price goes up when searching for more than triple occupancy... so up to you whether you want to include everyone on your search or not).

Let us know your thoughts on the above adn we'll advise accordingly.
