arxrulz Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Hi, I'm looking for a 3* / 4* hotel in the strip on May 4th and May 5th 2006. My budget is around 60$. IS it possible to get around that price ?Please give me tips on these days.Thanks.
thereuare Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Welcome to BetterBidding!I don't think your budget is realistic for a decent hotel on the strip for these <weekend> dates. What is the best rate you're able to find for these dates if you were to fail with the opaque suppliers? arxrulz Posted April 3, 2007 Author Report Posted April 3, 2007 Thanks for the quick response. The better rate that I'm able to find is 150$. I'm flexible on the location and the star value of the hotel. I'm looking for a decent hotel near (walk able distance) the strip. Please let me know if you find something.
thereuare Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 I don't think you're going to find anything near $60 given your parameters... and i'll point out that your maximum bid is only 40% of the best rate you can find elsewhere. thereuare Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Probably not... what is the $150 nite hotel? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

arxrulz Posted April 5, 2007 Author Report Posted April 5, 2007 Courtyard By Marriott Green Valley - 133$Emerald Suites Cameron - 124 $Howard Johnson Inn - Las Vegas Strip - 133$Santa Fe Station Hotel - 159$
thereuare Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 None of those hotels are on the strip, so you're not really comparing apples-to-apples.If you're looking to stay on the "main" part of the strip you're budget is simply not enough. arxrulz Posted April 5, 2007 Author Report Posted April 5, 2007 Is it possible to get the deals in these hotels ?
thereuare Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 It is possible to still get a deal for these dates, but you can't bid on a specific hotel. For example, the Courtyard Green Valley comes up frequently on priceline, but there are other hotels at that star rating in the (Airport) zone too... so you could get any hotel at the minimum star rating you select, not necessarily the Courtyard. Are there any zones where you're willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the minimum star rating you select? arxrulz Posted April 5, 2007 Author Report Posted April 5, 2007 Please suggest me which zone is nearby(easily accessible) the strip.
thereuare Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Personally i don't recommend staying off-strip in Vegas (you want to at least be walking distance to the strip, near the CAT (public bus), or have a car with you... otherwise you need to factor cab rides into your plans). You can look at the priceline map and decide which other zones (if any) you're willing to accept.
