search by june 18-24, 2007. two adults and one child. comes up as 4-star condo in Coral Gables - Coconut Grove, $129 per night. amenities listed as condo, 1B, daily housekeeping, fitness, pool, restuarant, 24 hour front desk, wireless internet. sounds too good to be true! does anyone know what establishment this is and/or have experience staying there? many thanks. -susan

If this appears to be your best option, you can try doing a HOTWIRE search for the first (or last) nite of your stay and see if this property appears, then search again for the balance of your stay. If it appears (and around the same price) for both searches, you can then purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'... if you're happy with the results then purchase the balance of your stay; if not, make alternate plans for the remaining nites.

hello: thanks for your advice on my searching. this is how it all turned out: first, i checked for the first night, and found another deal which could not be reisisted, so i booked it, and then the second night as well, for a 4* coral gables hotel... $59 per night - turned out to be the hyatt regency coral gables. there were not more rooms at that hotel for our last 3 nights, so i tried booking the first of the three at the "4* coral gables condo, 1B, etc..." and ended up with the Mutiny Hotel... it is not clear if we will actually get a 1 bedroom condo as seemed to have been indicated, or if we'll be put into a junior suite... the indication was for a full kitchen, so my hope is that it will be the one bedroom option. we only saved $10 per night on that at $139/night. many many thanks for your help!

Sounds like it worked out ok for you... at least you found the "other deal which could not be resisted" by separating the nites.

We like to only have one win per thread so that each can be reflected in the topic title. We'll use this thread to reflect your results at the Mutiny... can you please start a NEW TOPIC for your results at the Hyatt (please include the date(s) of your stay, price paid, amenities before purchase, etc... all of which you can still view by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page).

Also, it's not clear if you booked the Mutiny for 6/21-6/24 or just for the nite of 6/21... can you clarify and we'll edit the topic title accordingly (if neccessary).

PS- if you get there and are not given a 1BR suite (and that is what was shown in the amenity list), i would call HOTWIRE... they will likely be able to get the hotel to move you to a 1BR room and/or offer you a partial refund since you didn't get what was described. Hi. Sorry, I was all over the place. To clarify, I continue on the book the Mutiny 1B for the remaining nights. I should note, though, that the rate went up to $139 from $129 per night, probably due to the weekend dates. I will start another thread and list the outcome for the Hyatt... and I'll give update about the 1 bedroom/junior suite dilemma upon my return. Many thanks for the advice on calling Hotwire, I will surely take your advice should it become necessary. Thanks for everything.
