My Cat's Name is Bernie Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Priceline gave me the warning that my $13/day bid for economy car was too low, and my bid was rejected. The total would have been $137.25.A $14/day bid would have been a total of $144.72, and it didin't give me the "too low" warning, so $14 might have been accepted. But I did not complete that bid.I already have a cancellable reservation with Alamo for $147.05 ($159.30 - 10% AAA discount) that I made a couple of days ago. It's worth it to me to pay the extra $2.33 to be able to change my plans.I noticed that HOTWIRE did not give any opaque rates for this time period, it only gave me the screen with the rental car companies names. So I guess the rental companies haven't given themselves much room below their posted rates for this time and location.Hope that helps...
