darando Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 Admin, you can change the title of the thread if and when I get a result! (next few days hopefully)Am looking at the list of 4* hotels in USW - all look very good and close to Union Square, however most people seem to bid mostly on USE.question is - is it much harder to get a 4* USW than USE or is just that everyone on this board stays in USE!!!!
slruud Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 I myself am more partial to USE, mainly because I think you get more hotel for the $$$. I've won the Omni and more recently Le Meridien. I wouldn't mind the Hyatt Embarcadero, but I would mind getting the Hilton in USW. The Omni, Le Meridien, and Hyatt are closest to my favorite restaurants...Tadich Grill and Sam's Grill. With Priceline you never know, but you do get to try new hotels for reasonable prices. Good Luck.
darando Posted March 15, 2007 Author Report Posted March 15, 2007 Thanks for the reply, I have just been doing abit of reading, and I'm guessing it might also be something to do with the proximity to the "Tenderloin" - not the best place at night I read. I will probably have a bid on USE due to the best value for $$$ issue - (read that also).Heres hoping for something.
darando Posted March 15, 2007 Author Report Posted March 15, 2007 Ok, I decied on 4* USE for 4/11 - 4/15 (4 nights)USE - 4* - $83 - No hitUSE + South San Francisco 4* - $85 - HITHyatt Regency, 5 Embacadero Centre.total (inc. tax) - $399.89Didn't start too low as havent seen a 4* in San Fran for less than $80 lately.Anyway, cheers for all the help.
