Priceline Hotel: 3* Destin-Fort Walton (Destin) Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Hoping for the Hilton Sandestin b/c it is right on the beach. Did not get it.

From what I recall, there were three other areas to add each time I rebid. Checked beforehand by clicking on each and none of them had 3***s available.

Bid 75 for Destin only, rejected.

Added an area. Bid 100. Rejected.

Added an area. Bid 125. Rejected.

Added the last area. Bid 140. Accepted. Plus 24 in fees per night. I think you can get the same room right now for between 180 and 200 so not really a deal.

This is a huge, gorgeous resort on both beachside and bayside. Spoke with resort and was informed room will be in the Bayside Inn on the opposite side of road from beach. Kids will be disappointed -- but hey it's still a vacation.

However, there is a free tram system that takes you to the beach and around resort, free bike rental, free tennis, free canoe/kayaks, free workout room. The Baytowne Wharf is also on the bayside and this is a very nice entertainment/dining district, so trying not to be disappointed.

Knew the risks going in, but hoped the Florida priceline list listing only the Hilton was still accurate. Please add the Bayside Inn at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort to the list of 3***s under Destin.
