I am happy with the location, I stayed at the Allegro in the west loop area last summer, though I liked, I wanted a different location. Tripadvisor has mixed reviews for the property. I am fine with small rooms, it is just me and I am not planning a party in the room! I have been checking hotwire for about a week. The Tremont was coming up @ $89/nt. Wasn't confident my max, $65/nt, would cover. Today the Allerton came up for $79/nt, was confident $65 would be enough. More options may have opened up closer but I wanted to get travel arrangements out of the way.
