jab13
Hi - I know people post tons of these 1st timer posts, but hopefully someone can direct me the right way...I am new to priceline & hotwire and desperately trying to get a very nice hotel in Manhattan for 2 days next week to celebrate my wifes birthday but having little success finding a price break... Any bidding tips... especially for 4 star hotels or nicer 3 star hotels...Many thanks in advanceJason Link to comment

thereuare
Well i don't think you're in the right price range for a 4* hotel for these dates, and if you're going to lower your star level and go the Priceline route, you can't choose which 3* property you'll yet, so you would need to be comfortable with any 3* property in the zone you bid (which it doesn't sound as if you are).Do you have any back-up reservation? jab13
No back up reservations... what price range would I need to be at for a 4* hotel, in your opinon? Link to comment
thereuare
Over $200/nite.Quickbook has some of the Affinia properties (Eastgate Tower, Beekman, etc) for the low $200's and they get very good reviews.
