rejected 4*/$52, 3*/$45, 2.5*/$42, 2*/$35 (usiing re-bids where possible)

I didn't know there was a 1 star in Sunnyvale. Reviews are mixed f; I shall see.

This place wasn't so bad, but it is definitely an old hotel; they had a sign showing a rate of $38, although I was told my room (with jacuzzi tub) was usually $60.

This place always shows up on travel websites (Hotels.com, Orbitz) as a very cheap hotel.

I would say bid for higher stars, and then just book here as a backup plan.
