I used the following strategy and the link of savingsbarn!

Not the best choice, but still a good deal and better than the travelodge gresham I had as a backup (and only 10$ per night as an add-on).

44$ 4* Portland Downtown

45$ added PDX airport

49$ added Clackamas

45$ added Tigard

45$ went down to 3*

I was given the opportunity to extend the stay in either direction!

Was hoping for the Hilton Garden Inn...
