Jasonshotel Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 I bid on a 3* hotel....started at 40, nothing, then went to $45 and got the Plaza 500. I was hoping for a hotel downtown, I've been reading some reviews and this hotel doesnt' seem 3* worthy, do you think that Priceline will give me a refund? I know it's a longshot....I have gotten a refund before from Priceline because I accidentally bid in the wrong area.....I was allowed to rebid, but just the one time.
ay jayy Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 This sort of happened to me. I made the mistake of bidding for 3* in Vancouver and got the Holiday Inn on broadway. I really wanted to stay downtown and this hotel is nowhere close. I complained to Priceline that they dont have a downtown zone for Vancouver(why not???). They didnt give me a refund, but maybe if enough others complain they will fix this.
thereuare Posted March 6, 2007 Report Posted March 6, 2007 ay jayy,How about sharing your winning bid with the board? :) Didn't you see the boundary of the zone you were bidding on before your placed your bid? ay jayy Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 sorry, i just found this board. i can add the post if you like.and yes i did see the boundary, my point is there is no zone for downtown Vancouver, only one that covers pretty much the whole city. I realize it was my mistake, im just hoping they would create a zone for downtown.
