akaq Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Two weeks ago, I won a bid to stay in Hilton New York from March 1st to 4th. Due to possible major winter storm today and tomorrow in the Minnesota, we're expecting to get 12 to 20 inches of snow. I realized I didn't purchase cancellation insurance when i bid on Hotel from priceline. Our airline recommends to reschedule our flight, so I contacted Priceline customer support to ask them for credits/refund, they told me that they won't able to get our money back because Hotel is not refundig money to them. I was being recommend to post my questions here, since there are so many experts here. Do hotel/priceline, ever make exceptions to their cancellation policies? what's inside tip/tricks how I should handle this? Thanks in advance.

akaq Posted March 1, 2007 Author Report Posted March 1, 2007 I got for $125 per night with first try.
CFraz Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 I have complained about the quality of hotels and have gotten a refund. They (Priceline) say that they will contact the hotel and get back to me. After a few minutes, Priceline gets back on a says "the hotel agrees to give a refund." Guessing that if the hotel doesn't give money back, priceline won't either. BUT, they definitely do make refunds. Good Luck.cf
