crsshiplover
I recommended Hotwire to a friend for car rental since I have been so pleased using it for hotels. (I have never used them for car.) She reported that when she picked up her car (TPA-Hertz), the gas tank was empty. She questioned it and was told that with Hotwire, you aren't guaranteed a full tank of gas when you pick it up, nor do you need to fill it prior to the return. Is this right? Sounds fishy. thereuare
Could be specific to that car rental agency, but has nothing to do with HOTWIREMore likely is that they were very busy and didn't have time to fill the tank... so they simply figured they'd tell the customer to take whatever gas is in the car and return it empty. When recommending Hotwire (and this site) to others please also ask them to use our HOTWIRE link for their purchases (and to post their results).Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
