almo Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Hi, I'm looking for a nicer 4* or better strip hotel april 23rd->26th. I already made a reservation for my safe hotel at the flamingo for $60+ for those dates but I wanted something a little more upscale, unless you recommend that that deal is really good. I also wanted to stay at the GN for the first night on the 22nd (not booked). I'm looking to spend about $130 or so per.Could you let me know what kind of options I have? Thanks and I appreciate your help. :)
thereuare Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Is staying on the Strip for 4/22-4/25 and Downtown on 4/25 a possibility or do you need/want to be on the strip for your last nite in Vegas. Is the Westin something you'd consider... don't know if it falls in your classification of 'nice' and it is slightly off-strip.Let us know and we'll advise accordingly. almo Posted February 23, 2007 Author Report Posted February 23, 2007 Thanks for getting back to me. The Westin is the old Maxim correct? If so, it is not something I would consider. I am looking more for Paris, NYNY, MonteCarlo, Treasure Isl., Alladin, MGM or similar. As far as the downtown date, I would prefer the GN on the 22nd but I'm not absolutely fixed on it. If the price is right I would stay downtown on the last night vs the first night. Thanks again for your advice. I've been a lurker for a while and advise all my friends to use the board when they need a hotel.
thereuare Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 If you don't want to stay downtown at all you can book the Aladdin for $150/nite.For 4/23-4/26 the Aladdin rate is $165/nite while the Golden Nugget is $80 for 4/22.For 4/22-4/25 the Aladdin rate is $145/nite while the Golden Nugget is $97 for 4/26.After that the closest rate i could find to your budget is $179/nite at Treasure Island (you can easily search most of the above 4* hotels you mentioned with our Las Vegas Checker).Let us know what you deicde to do or if we can be of further help. almo Posted March 5, 2007 Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 I finally got my vacation approved so I started bidding on priceline for one room on April 22nd. I was interested in a 4* at either the strip or the Golden Nugget. I started at $42 and tried going up by $3 each time. I got accepted at $56 for the Westin on the strip. I used the PRICELINE links at Savingsbarn.I previously have the rest of my trip booked at the Flamingo for $60/night so a trip around the corner wont be a hassel in changing hotels. Thanks for the help.
