jaxtobias Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Hello,Its been a couple years since I attempted Priceline, so could use some help with strategy for one night precruise on Wed Apr 11. Would like downtown Miami 4*, Miami Beach second location choice. Thx much!
jaxtobias Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 Forgot to mention - trying to keep under $100. Thx
thereuare Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 What is more important... price or zone? Would you prefer a 4* hotel in the Downtown zone at the top of your limit or a less expensive 4* hotel in the Beach zone?Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy to follow. jaxtobias Posted February 21, 2007 Author Report Posted February 21, 2007 Actually now that I think of it - location probably more important than cost - beach zone first, then downtown. Would it be greedy to ask for both strategies? :) THANK YOU!
thereuare Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 At the 4* level you have four re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select Miami Baach...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $85, if rejected close browswer and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select Miami Baach and re-bid zone4...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $92, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $100.If the above is rejected you can then try the following...Select Downtown...Bid $60, if rejected add Miami Beach...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $80, if rejected close browswer and re-access priceline however you did previously. If the above is rejected you can then try the following...Select Downtown and re-bid zone4...Bid $85, if rejected add Miami Beach...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone1Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $100Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
