Priceline Hotel: 3* San Diego (Mission Valley) Holiday Inn

I bid 49.00 for 3* Mission Valley 12/4/04 one night and got Holiday Inn which is listed on this site as 2 1/2* I'm disappointed that I didn't do more research on this. I emailed Priceline and they stated they changed to 3* from 2 1/2* based on new criteria, whatever that means.

Sorry to hear your first post is a disappointing one. On the bright side it's only for one nite and i'm sure you'll get at least $49 worth of a hotel room value from it. The hotel's website show a rate of $110.

To make sure we're refering to the same hotel, the address is 3805 Murphy Canyon Road?

I said in another post that Holiday Inns don't exactly make you think of high quality luxury, the few reviews i've read for this property are fairly favorable.

Try to enjoy your stay and give us a review when you return. Since your stay is so far off, keep an eye out for this hotel coming up again. If you see it gets downgraded to a Priceline 2.5* you should be able to get this one cancelled.

Thanks Theruare, I will keep an eye out for it to go down in star quality. I just was surprised as we have enough Priority Club points that we could have used for this hotel, but was hoping to get something a little nicer.
