Priceline Hotel: Boston strategy help needed

Hello all,

I need 2 rooms in Boston (copley or downtown/charlestown only) for 4 days starting June 3rd and checking out June 7th. We are only interested in 3 star or above. I am somewhat new to Priceline and I have some strategy questions:

1. Does starting out on a Sunday night (ie. June 3rd) make a difference? We could be flexible on that.

2. Does needing 2 rooms for 4 days make it more difficult to get a good deal? As oppossed to a single room for less than 4 days or whatever.

3. Does waiting until closer to the date tend to make them except your offer? I see a lot of people getting 3 stars in those areas for as low as $65. I bid up to $75 and still have not got an offer accepted. Is it because June is so far away?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Shouldn't... unless there is unusually high demand for this particular nite... Sundays are usually slower hotel nites.

Have you given up on Priceline?

not yet.. I might try 1 room for priceline for 2 days and see what I can get and add from there.. we'll see!!
