mucox Posted February 14, 2007 Author Report Posted February 14, 2007 Just wanted to add some info. I would like to stay under 200 a night if all possible but would probably go up to 250 for something realy cool.
thereuare Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 For your dates i'm showing the Westin at $137 (not sure where you saw the $120 rate) and the Aladdin for $190.In the same price range as the Aladdin you can also consider the Monte Carlo for $173/nite (although i heard recent reports of construction noise) or Treasure Island for $189/nite.Which you go with probably depends which part of the strip you like best and/or if you mind being slightly off-strip or not. mucox Posted February 15, 2007 Author Report Posted February 15, 2007 Do you think that I can get a cheeper rate than this by using priceline? What would you start your bidding at?
thereuare Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 What is the correct price that you see for the Westin as that will determine your maximum bid and will then help us determine a starting bid and strategy. thereuare Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 You have three re-bid zones available when bidding 4* in Vegas (NOTE: Summerlin is not one of them). If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Strip...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Strip and re-bid zone2...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $110, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Strip and re-bid zone3...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Strip and re-bid zone2 and re-bid zone3...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $130.If rejected you can then take the Westin thru EasyClickTravel. There is no booking fee thru Easyclicktravel which is why we didn't go as high as $135 in the bidding, this makes it an apples-to-apples equality.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. mucox Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 Well apperently I selected the wrong area and got the Renaissance for 120 a night on priceline. Not want I wanted but we do not plan on spending a lot of time in the room anyway. I'll know better next time. Just for the future when you recomend a "zone" if you can put a brief discription that would have kept me from making the mistake. Certantly not your fault, I should have read closer, it would just make things easier.

At least this location isn't too bad relative to the strip (you didn't end up downtown or out in Henderson) and still a $50 savings.Hope your luck is better in Vegas :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
