WOW!! Hi there!! I'm new to this board. . .discovered this site about a month ago. I just wanted to say "THANK YOU!!" for having all of this information about Hotwire. I've been using Priceline successfully for years now, but would never attempt to use Hotwire due to a less than satisfactory dealing with them long ago. Mostly, because I didn't know enough about them & their differences(ratings,etc.) w/Priceline.

Although I may have gotten a better price using Priceline, it most likely would've been for a different hotel. Decided to instead use the wonderful information on these boards & take a chance. I am sooo glad I did!! This is a GREAT price for this hotel!! I have not been able to even come close to matching it for the dates I needed. . .so thanks again!! :o

I love Priceline, but it's really good to have the choice to pay a little more for the CHANCE to get the hotel you want. Also, this whole guessing thing is really fun!! Okay I'm done. . .sorry, I'm just so excited!! :)

It's nice to see your enthusiasm! I'm glad we were able to help and that you were able to use the information to your advantage in getting the hotel you wanted. Hotwire is truly a great option when there is a 'dog' hotel in a zone or when you want to target a specific hotel; it also appears to be getting a bit more competitive now that interactive corp. has taken over.

It would be helpful if you could add some of your winning Priceline bids to the board, especially those of hotels you've won that are not yet on our lists (we're still only about one year old, so still trying to add to the database).
