dstanton6 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 We are going to Boston in mid-June. Hotwire is offering a three star (customer favorite) in the theater district for $92.00 a night. Is this likely to be the Park Plaza? Also, with Hotwire can you request a certain bed-type? Thanks for any help you can give me as I have not used Hotwire before.

dstanton6 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 The dates are 6/16-6/20/07. Hotwire lists the amenities as fitness center, business center, restaurants, and high speed internet.
thereuare Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 This is a match for the Park Plaza so that would be our best guess. Do note that two other hotels (Doubletree and Radisson) have been reported with the same amenities as above, except without the Hi-Speed Internet icon, which i'm sure both of them do in fact offer... so i'd consider those possibilities as well if either of them have since added that amenity icon. There is no evidence of this yet as nobody has reported such a change, which is why the Park Plaza is our best guess, but just adding the other as 'distance possibilities'.Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. dstanton6 Posted March 29, 2007 Author Report Posted March 29, 2007 We will be in Boston for four nights, June 16th-20th 2007. Hotwire has a 4 star hotel in the Waterfront/S. Boston area for $126.00 per night. The amenities listed are, Fitness Center, Restaurants, High speed internet, Pool, and Business Center.Any ideas as to what hotel this is? This would be my first time using Hotwire. Once you pay are you able to request a non-soking room along with a bed type?Any help you can give on this would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.Don
thereuare Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. The above amenities are common for many 'city' hotels, but it does match the Westin Waterfront so that would be our best guess. As far as making bed type and smoking/non-smoking request, see the related links in our PRICELINE FAQ.Please remember to use our HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. djs Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 One thing to keep in mind, the Westin uses the term "Waterfront" very liberally. If you're above the 5th floor, you might possibly be able to see the water from your room. It's a good few blocks from the water. Actually Boston only has two hotels that are truly on the water (The Boston Harbor Hotel and the Marriott Long Wharf). Additionally, the Seaport hotel is across the street from the waterfront.
