jork Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 I'm a first-timer. Looking for NYC 3*, Mar 23 and 24. HOTWIRE has MTS, Boutique, Breakfast, Gym, and Buisiness center, $185. Any ideas what this might be?

thereuare Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Mar 23 and 24Mar. 23 -24I read the above differenlty... is this a one nite stay or two? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jork Posted February 12, 2007 Author Report Posted February 12, 2007 2 nights. Checking in Mar 23. Leaving Mar 25. The listing seems to be gone now, but it was there for a couple of days.
thereuare Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 You don't say if you need this zone in particular, but just going by the price and star rating, how about a 1BR suite at the Beekman Tower for $156/nite? (this is cancellable up until a few days before your stay and may at the very least be a good back-up) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jork Posted February 12, 2007 Author Report Posted February 12, 2007 I don't need this area in particular. I was just curious what hotel it might be. Ideally I'm looking for 3* in Times Square, or nearby because we have theatre tickets for 4 shows over 3 days. Stayed at the Paramount last year for $106/night, but that was then... However, The Beekman looks like a good backup. Thanks for the tip.
jork Posted February 15, 2007 Author Report Posted February 15, 2007 The HOTWIRE Hotel List in Better Bidding shows the Shoreham, NYC, as 3.5*. formerley 4*. Boutique, Restaurant,, Buisiness center and formerley Fitness Center. When I look in Hotwire "PACKAGES" NYC, Mar. 23 - Mar25, the Shoreham is listed as 4* and currently WITH Fitness. I'm wondering if Hotwire "Hotel only" listing 4* Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Business center and Internet $269. could be the Shoreham.
thereuare Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. This hotel is probably been upgraded back to a 4* and we'll adjust it in the Hotwire Hotel List. As for the Fitness icon, it may or may not be included once again... it may have just been closed (for renovations, upgrades, etc) the last time it was reported by a user and therefore temporarily removed from the list OR this hotel may show the Fitness icon in the packages product but not in the opaque product (some hotels use different amenities for each)Thanks for the update to the Hotel List :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jork Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 I just booked the Paramount in NYC Mar. 22-25. $100.00/night. It was listed on HOTWIRE at $134.00 so I gave it a try. I'm new to BETTER BIDDING so I apologize if I'm not in the right "thread". Just thought folks would like to know.
